1. Kaf. By the glorious Recitation, full of divine generosity,
2. It is not as it is thought. When a warner came to them from among themselves, they were astonished, and those disbelievers said: ‘This is a strange thing.’
3. ‘What?! When we die and when we become dust? That is a far return.’
4. We know very well what the Earth has diminished from them. With us, we have a Book that preserves and guards everything.
5. No! When the truth came to them, they denied it. Now, they are in a great suffering.
6. Didn’t they look at the sky above them, at how we have established it, and how we have decorated and embroidered it? It has no tears or cracks.
7. And we have spread out the Earth, and we have placed balance points in it, and we produced every kind of pairs, pleasing to the eyes of the beholders.
8. As an enlightenment: as an advice for every servant who turns to the truth.
9. From the sky, we sent down a blessed and abundant water, and we made gardens grow with it, and grains to be harvested.
10. We made palm trees grow, high and tall, and their buds are clustered on top of each other,
11. as a provision for servants. And with that water, we gave life to a dead land. Like this is the gushing from the Earth.
12. Before them, the people of Noah, the dwellers of the Well and of Thamud had denied.
13. And Aad, and Pharaoh, and the brothers of Lot.
14. And the dwellers of the Wood, and the people of Tubba. All of them denied the messengers, and the announced suffering became truth.
15. Were we helpless and exhausted from the first creation? No, they are in doubt of a new creation.
16. Certainly, we created the human, and we know what his personality/soul whispers to him. We are closer to him than his jugular vein.
17. On his right and on his left are sitting two receivers, recording.
18. He does not utter a single word without an observer being at the ready.
19. The drunkenness of death has come as truth. That is what you have been avoiding.
20. And the trumpet is blown. This is the promised day.
21. Every self will come with a driver/guide and a witness.
22. Certainly, you were heedless of this. But we removed your veil from you. Today your sight is sharp.
23. His companion will say: ‘Here is what is with me, ready.’
24. You two! Throw all the ungrateful, all the stubborn into hell.
25. The ones who constantly prevent doing good, going beyond limits, doubting.
26. For he set up another deity besides God. Now throw him into that harsh suffering.
27. His companion said: ‘Our God, I did not lead him astray. It was he himself who was in an error from which there was no return.’
28. He said: ‘Do not argue in My presence. I have sent you the warning long before.’
29. ‘There is no changing the word with Me, and I never wrong My servants.’
30. On that day, we will say to hell: ‘Are you full?’, and it will say: ‘Is there no more?’
31. And the heavenly garden is brought near to those who are careful/cautions/wary/refraining; it is not far away at all.
32. This is what you are promised. For everyone who turns to God constantly, and guards/protects what is to be guarded/protected.
33. To all who, without seeing Him, shiver because of the Endlessly Merciful, and bring a heart that is directed to God.
34. Enter it in well-being/soundness/peace! This is the day of continuity/eternity.
35. There, for them there is everything that they wish for. With us, there is even more.
36. We have destroyed many generations before them, whose blows/grips were tougher than these. They had made holes in the countries/they searched for a hole in the lands to escape into it/ they roamed around/explored the lands. Is there any escape?!
37. Indeed, in this Recitation is an absolute advice/reminder for those who have a heart or who give ear to it as a complete witness.
38. Certainly, we created the heavens, the Earth and whatever is between the both of them in six days. And we were not touched by any tiredness.
39. So, be patient about what they say, and praise your God with thankfulness, before sunrise and before sunset.
40. And also praise Him during a part of the night and after prostrations.
41. Listen to the day when the caller will call from a very near place.
42. The day that they in truth will listen to that great voice/shout/blast. This is the day of coming forth/resurrection/revival.
43. We, indeed, we give life, we cause death. The return will be to us only.
44. That day, the Earth will split open and, in a hurry, will get away from them. This gathering is easy for us only!
45. We know what they say very well. You are not the one to compel them. Only advise/remind with the Recitation, whoever fears My threat.
